Andrew
Duckworth completed his Bachelor’s degree in Technical Theatre at the
University of Nevada at Las Vegas. While in Vegas, he also worked on
numerous professional shows, including the Battle Bots 1999 pay-per-view
special; ran sound for Tony Bennett; and worked at the MGM Hotel,
Treasure Island, All American Sports Park, and Las Vegas Performing Arts
Center.
In 1997 and 1998 Andy received national acclaim as one of the Top
Five Sound Designers in the Nation.
Andy is a 17-time winner of the Quad C Theatre
Award. Among his awards
are Outstanding Sound Design for As Is, Still Life and
Stand-Up Tragedy, a 1996 Kennedy Center ACTF National Award winner.
He was the David Hobbs Scholarship recipient in 1998, and the
Outstanding Theatre Student in 1998.
Andy is currently on staff at Collin in Music Technology, and works
freelance for several companies in the Dallas area, including Vari*Lite,
Gemini Sound, Vince Vance and the Valiants, and the Dallas Theater
Center.
